Milford Cecil was born on March 8, 1943 in Helenwood, TN. He was called by the
Lord into the gospel ministry in 1974 at the age of thirty-one. He submitted to the
call and began to zealously study God’s word. Seeking help and guidance of the
Holy Spirit, he strove to be the best servant of the Lord that he could possibly be.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.” (Psalm 116:15)
Milford preached the gospel for twenty-three years, serving as a pastor for twenty-
one years. In 1995 he was diagnosed with non-hodgekins lymphoma. It was a long,
hard struggle and he lost the battle to cancer but gained the victory in Christ on June
11, 1997 when the Lord called him home to be with Him. He was dearly loved and
greatly missed but we are thankful for the work that God did through him and rest in
the fact that God is concerned for us and knows what is best for us. We find rest in
knowing that He is in control of every situation in our life.
Our Objective:
It is our desire that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior be honored by this web site
and His gospel shared with all that view it. Milford Cecil was a faithful servant of
our Lord and dedicated countless hours to searching and studying God’s word. He
left behind hundreds of sermons, outlines and notes. The Cecil family would like to
share these with you and it is our hope and prayer that you will find this site to be
