| The Power of Forgiveness |
1.) No Spiritual Power without forgiveness.
2.) No Answered Prayer without forgiveness.
3.) There are Minor hurts.
Major hurts.
TS: There are three ways to deal with hurt:
I. Restrain (To hold in)
A. Has a two-way effect:
B. Makes us Bitter or
C. Makes is Better (Illus. Job & Wife)
II. Retaliate (To strike back)
A. Reveange is what we think we want.
B. Must stoop to the other's level.
C. Violate the commandments of God.
D. Take the role of avenger.
(See Romans 12:14-21)
III. Release (To fully let go)
A. Forgiveness is expensive.
(I bear the hurt, you go free)
B. Forgiveness is an act of the will.
(To release the offender of his debt)
