The Making of a Kingdom
There is coming a new government that will be just as real as any we have seen on
this earth. It will have a territory, people and a King.

I. The Importance of the Kingdom

    1. One of the greatest themes of the Bible (Romans 8)
    2. John the Baptist preached it; Jesus; Disciples-Peter, John; a New
    Testament theme.
    3. God promised it (Luke 1:26-33)
    4. The past ages have been working up to this great climax. Christ had to
suffer before the crown. (1 Peter 1:11)

II. God Unfolding the Revelation of the Kingdom

    1. Redemption priority to the lost.
    2. Cannot understand the Bible without knowledge of the Kingdom.
    3. It is like a puzzle; a piece at a time.
    4. It was planned before the foundation of the world. (Matthew 25:34;
    Revelation 13:8)

III. Major Bible Themes

    1. Black thread of sin and its consequences.
    2. Scarlet thread if redemption from the garden to the cross.
    3. Gold thread of faith in the promises of God.
    4. White thread of God's revelation to man of Himself to man.
    5. Blue thread of God's providence overruling evil for good.
    6. Purple thread of royalty, the Kingdom.

IV. Methods of Interpretation

    1. Grammatically: means what it says.
    2. According to context.
    3. Compare Scripture with Scripture.
