| The Essence of God |
The word "Essence" means the substance or reality of someone or something. The
essence of God means the reality, the substance, the nature. To speak of God is to
speak of an essence, being, substance or nature, not just a mere idea or
personification of an idea or philosophy. God is a reality, a spiritual substance, but
not a material substance.
I. The Existence of God
Conclusion:
Only the true Christian faith has a true and living God who has self conscienceless,
self determination, intellect, sensibility and volition. All other gods are the figment of
man's imagination. They are not living, cannot speak, feel or love. We have the only
true and living God.

- 1. He is a Spirit (John 4:24; Luke 24:39; Exodus 20:4)
2. He is Invisible (John 1:18; 1 Timothy 6:16)
3. He is Alive (Matthew 16:16; 1 Timothy 3:15)
4. He is a Person
*Self Consciousness (Exodus 4:14)
*Self Determination (Ephesians 1:9)
*Intellect (Acts 15:18)
*Sensibility (John 3:16)
*Volition (John 6:38)
Conclusion:
