| Spiritual Resources for the Church |
I cannot emphasize enough the fact that, in order to be a spiritual church with God's
blessing upon us, it is absolutely necessary that we go by the Bible. Many are living
today:
1. Carnal instead of spiritual.
2. Walking after the flesh instead of the Spirit.
3. Saved, but saved so as by fire.
The book of First Corinthians exposes the tragedy of a church living a low-level
Christian life. The church knew about the forgiveness of sin, but little about the
deliverance from sin. The Book was written to correct these problems. We begin
today with a look at the Spiritual Resources for the church.
I. Our Position (1:1-2)
1. Our Position in Salvation (In Christ)
2. Our Position in Service (In the church; saints)
II. Our Provisions (1:3-8)
1. God's Faithfulness; Called (Romans 8:29)
2. Our Fellowship; to walk with Christ
