Five Ambitions for Life
(Proverbs 29:18) Where there is no vision, the people perish. We all need a goal in
life, a mark to press for.

Paul's five ambitions:

I. To be Found in Christ (vs. 7-9)

  1. Counted all things loss for Christ.
  2. Nothing to stand in the way of salvation.

II. To Know Christ (vs. 10)

  1. To know Him is to love Him.
  2. How? (Study - Time, Prayer - Talk, Living for Him - Trust)

III. To Know the Power of His Resurrection (vs. 10)

  1. Gives power to save.
  2. Gives power to serve.

VI. To Know the Fellowship of His Sufferings (vs. 10)

  1. He didn't mind sufferings for Christ.
  2. Do you? (if so, selfish ambitions)
  3. Nothing to stand in the way of salvation.

V. To Attain Unto the Resurrection (vs. 11)

  1. He wanted to be in the first resurrection.
  2. Receive a new body.
  3. Will be like Christ.
