I CAN TALK TO JESUS
I can talk to Jesus, He’s my dearest friend;
No matter if others forsake me,
He’ll be with me ‘til the end.
I can talk to Jesus when I’m lonely and sad;
He understands me perfectly,
Even more than Mom and Dad.
I can talk to Jesus, He’s never out of town;
He’s never too busy to hear me,
Always available, no matter where I am.
Sometimes His answer is not what I want to hear;
It’s not what my friends think, or my other peers,
So what am I to do? Will I listen to His words,
Or will I turn away from Him and listen to the world?
One thing I can be sure of, He loves me to the end;
He always wants what’s best for me,
‘Cause He’s my dearest friend.
Why would I want to follow;
When others want to lead
Me from the dearest Saviour,
Who loved me and died in my stead.
Call on Him when you’re in trouble;
Depend on him when you’re in need,
He’s waiting with ears and arms open;
To help you, whatever your need.
